“Andymation” represents any freelance work I produce. I specifically enjoy using motion graphics to create short-form logo animations that best represent a company’s identity. It allows for me to focus on the intricate design details of a :30 spot, rather than a 1 to 2 minute explainer video. Below are some examples of past and present work.

AJC Logo Animation
Summary
This is a personal logo animation I created using Element 3D. The concept behind this took many days of storyboarding. I wanted to somehow reveal the timeline without the viewer realizing what it was until the end. This was achieved by setting up close-up shots and adding texture mapping to give it an interesting metal or stone feel.
Title
Apple Orchard
Summary
Inspired by my family’s apple farm, I experimented with Cinema 4D to create this simple 3D animation. The lighting effects were composited later in After Effects. Some improvements I would make is adjusting the anti-aliasing on the text’s shadow.
Title
Voices of Gotham Logo Animation
Summary
Voices of Gotham is a New York City based Barbershop chorus that I sang with. While the chorus was focused on its brand identity, I used C4D to carefully animate a vector file into motion. You can find more examples of Voices of Gotham content here.
Title
Sonostics Logo Animation
Summary
This is an early freelance project, which required me to animate the Sonostics logo. One thing I always try to ask before animating is, “What does your logo mean to your company/identity? How do you relate to it?” And then I go from there. I used primarily Photoshop and AE.

While employed at Liquidus as an Animator and Product/Interactive Designer, I was tasked create many explainer videos. In process I used AE to add motion to their logo. Liquidus was a company that focused on advertising through dynamic programmatic media. More video examples can be found here.

AJC Personal Logo
Summary
What started out as a simple Illustrator file, eventually morphed into a 3D animation. The concept behind this logo is to use a timeline that represents my experience with multimedia and entertainment – whether that be video editing, animation, audio, graphic design, etc.

Programmatic Video Details Page
Summary
Before it was titled dVDP, I was tasked to design a logo for the “pVDP” product at Liquidus. I wanted to use bright colors and individual pieces that represent content moving around a website. I could see adding motion to this with pieces of each letter coming together.
Title
Cab With Me Logo
Summary
In addition to animating the service’s explainer video here, I designed the company’s logo. CabWithMe was based out of NYC so I tried to match the look and feel of something you might see on a Subway or in the streets of the city. The yellow and black makes you think of a cab while the line makes you think of a train.
Title
Andymation Logo
Summary
I designed this logo while taking a Web Design course (with the intention of creating a website). I wanted the end result to have an illustrative look, using an “ink typeface” for the letters. I then added the first thing almost all animators learn how to do – the bouncing ball.
Title
Susan Cortesi Website Logo
Summary
Susan Cortesi’s interests and experience involve painting and sewing, and I wanted to find a way to combine the two together. I used this logo for the header of her portfolio website that I created. You can view that here.

Loading Graphic
Summary
This Google inspired loading graphic was animated and designed for an online banking client. The company’s logo is visible when all the circles come together. Using Airbnb’s Lottie plugin, I was able to export this composition from AE and provide the complex animation as a .json file for the dev team.
