The Peacock Performance Marketing team is responsible for promoting new library content coming to platform in the upcoming month. Some of these titles include movies or series that live outside the Universal umbrella. While the majority of the Performance Marketing deliverables live on social platforms like TikTok, Snapchat, Meta, Reddit, and more, I like to prioritize the 16×9 aspect ratio first.
After doing some thorough research on what’s trending in the social space, I edited down the original film (with audio splits) into this tease for Spider-Man: Homecoming. This involves sound mixing, color correction, versioning, and tweaks based on studio approval. The cut below was too long for social purposes, but I do feel it helped build a narrative, starting with lighthearted “your-friendly-neighborhood-spider-man” to the introduction of the villain.
While Homecoming is a Spider-Man film, it was heavily influenced by Avengers and Iron Man at the time – something I tried to avoid in this edit. Posted below, I introduced graphics for social placements.
