Overview

When the Olympics, Super Bowl, Macy’s Parade, or any live event airs on Peacock, it is always viewed as a spectacle from a marketing standpoint. While I was not as heavily involved in this campaign (since it primarily involved the NBC Sports and Peacock Brand team), I did help contribute Motion Graphics that wound up in the final delivery.

This was a very exciting shoot that involved the 2024 Paris Olympic American athletes and a volume stage in the form of a “reflective cube”. GFX were placed on two sides of the cube, which then reflected on to mirrors on the opposite side. This created an infinite world of moving elements, particles, dots, and logos, behind the athletes.

Hero Olympics Spots

These two NBC Sports spots “Beast Mode” and “Every Moment, Every Medal” were the result of a cross team collaboration. I provided the playful bouncing dots that I initially designed for the Peacock float, seen in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade for 4 years. The Sports team expanded upon that, adding Paris Olympics GFX, logos, and particles.

“The Cube”

Below is a good representation of the end result without talent in the frame. Fun fact: The stage where “The Cube” lived was actually right next to the ILM’s “The Volume” – most famously known for the backdrop behind Disney/Star Wars The Mandalorian and other exciting ILM projects.
