Working under an extremely tight deadline, we teamed up with NBCUniversal, Inside Job, and Atomic Design to produce a Peacock Film Sizzle reel that provided an immersive experience across the entire stage at Radio City Music Hall. The goal was to showcase upcoming film titles slated for that year. I worked closely with Atomic Design (the vendor responsible for the LED screens) to find ways to replicate the Peacock GFX I designed for the 16×9 space, without being overly distracting. Imagery of the full stage during the event and pre-production are posted below.
In addition to the design, a lot of these titles we were showcasing were either still in production or in development, which meant we had to get creative as to what clips we used (a good example being The Community Movie, which was delayed). Upfront 2023 was a unique year because the Writers and Actors Strike were in full swing. Therefore no talent outside of news broadcasting was present at the event. However Seth MacFarlane did make an appearance in the form of Ted which was in anticipation of the series release in January 2024.
