Overview

Shortly after Love Island – Season 7  completed, Love Island Games – Season 2 started up. I had the opportunity to edit an NFL spot (from start to finish) using EPK one-liners from a marketing shoot in Fiji, in tandem with footage from the show, as it was shot – practically live.  In order to make sure this aired on time during an NFL game I proactively constructed a “donut-edit” using Ariana’s lines for executive approval. I later added GFX by dynamically linking Premiere with After Effects and sent it out for a final beauty pass and sound mix. This became a “day-of” edit/delivery.

Sunset Videotron

Having previously worked on the Love Island IP, I know the show runners were very protective over how the heart logo was represented (for Games it’s typically a pink, yellow, and blue beach ball). When art directing the cinemagraph used in this quick :06 Videotron OOH placement, I recommended we try to match the beach ball with the lockers used in the art, creating a sense of visual symmetry on both screens. All of these placements were on an extremely tight turnaround given the nature of the show is produced and shot (almost live).
