While employed at Post University I worked as a Multimedia Content Developer within the Instructional Design department. Because Post is an online university my role involved web design, development, graphic design, animation, and video editing – all of which catered to the improvement of online courses.
Below you will find examples of videos I produced that were used to introduce the students to a new course. The Course Introduction Template was specifically resourceful because it allowed the creative team to quickly roll out a new video by simply changing the text or images. A voice over was then added to help engage the students further.

Post University – CIS 350 Web Design
Before I created a standard template that could be use for all course introduction videos, I created a custom video for each class. This is an example of one of those videos. I animated in After Effects and recorded the voice over, mixed in sound effects, and edited in FinalCut Pro. Realistically, with a creative team of two, this was too much to do for every course that rolled out.
Course Introduction Video Template
This is an example of the template that I created for each course introduction video. I built a storyboard and asked each professor to provide bullet points of what you learn in the course, what’s most exciting, what’s most challenging, and final statement. I then animated the template in Element 3D and repurposed it across the board.
Post University Logo Animation
I animated the school’s logo when creating the course videos above. While my intention was for it to be used for Instructional Design purposes, eventually the marketing department got their hands on it. Today, this logo is used in all Post University content – both online and in TV commercials in the Connecticut area.
PhilaU Online Logo Animation
Post University also oversees the online Blackboard system for PhilaU Online. Because PhilaU also required online video content for their classes, I quickly put together an animated logo for course introduction videos.
